"Professor Lim accepted the offer of the post of Professor of Design of the college of Fine Arts of the National University at Peiping (peking) and started to work in 1931. Where through the kind recommandation of the late Dr. Taai Yuen pei, former minister of education of the National government of China, and then president of the National research institute of nanking, and Professor Sun Fuh-sze of the Academy of Fine arts of Hangchow, he was granted special free access to the magnificent Imperial palace and gardens, temples and other famous places of historical importance ... Malcolm MacDonald, son of the first labour prime minister Ramsay MacDonald and governor-general for SE Asia, was patron and he wrote a very appreciative letter to my grandpa. if you want to see a larger version of the letter you can click

I will be speaking at the italian church before coming over to England and sharing at the Berrymead church. The children will be over just for christmas before coming back to Belgium as Melody has to work at the hospital on the 27th. Mark, Trish and Nay visited us for a few days ! Johanan has been invited to contribute articles to the CBN christian TV site whilst still teaching english to master's degree students. Melody is getting to grips with her speech-therapy job in the neurological unit of the hospital and has been helping many families with paper-work ... Alison has begun uni lectures with Johanan and Alexi. Her bachelor of Arts degree from Geneva has officially been confirmed.

"A son retour en Chine, il enseigna les beaux-arts à l'Université d'Amoy et devint recteur de "Amoy School of Fine Arts" (Ecole de Beaux-Arts à Amoy). Son désir de rechercher l'art décoratif chinois et d'écrire des livres sur ce sujet se,réalisa peu à peu lorsqu'il se vit proposé le poste de professeur à la Faculté des Beaux-Arts à l'Université National de Péking. Il commença son travail en 1931. Professeur Lim se vit accorder le droit et le privilège d'accéder au palais impérial, aux jardins royaux, aux temples et à tous les bâtiments possédant une importance historique pour poursuivre son travail. Ceci se réalisa grâce, en grande partie, à la recommandation du Dr. Taai Yuen Pei, ancien ministre de l'Education du gouvernement National de la Chine et président de l'Institut National de Recherche à Nanking, ainsi qu'à la recommandation du Professeur Sun Fuh-Sze de l'Académie des Beaux-Arts de Hangchow. ...
