The eye you see is that of Debbie, a christian singer.
Here is a close-up of her eye as a
"bigger picture" ;o) Stu and Martha,
who will be coming to see us next week, has been working with Debbie, at North Records.
Stu mentioned to me that she has been at the top of the
US indie charts for the past thirteen weeks.

(helping international artists, as well as concern for the poor,
needy and underpriviledged). The interview reflects Debbie's desire
that God would move in Thailand and gives us a glimpse of her aim in
life is not just to make hit singles. Her testimony of how her dad met
Jesus from a buddhist background, is encouraging.
Videos shown at the Youth Retreat
I will summarize the various videos which I showed at the Youth Retreat
which went down well. First of all you can see the
video "Stars" with
french sub-titles which was done by Nate, a youth pastor in Iowa, for
the Youth Retreat. The
original version in english is here. David Condos
also asked me to show his video entitled
"the making of when the land
becomes the sea" and finally I also showed the music video of Chris Tomlin's
song "Amazing Grace" based on the film of the same name, which is based on the
true story of William Wilberforce and the law to end slavery. The
live version
of the song is here, the
music video on the DVD is here and finally Chris Tomlin
is interviewed about the song on here.
Messages at the Youth Retreat
One of the young people from the Youth Retreat made
a summary of the teaching
sessions I did to be published in a christian magazine in Belgium. I found their
notes mucn better than my own ! I should borrow them ;o) It was also interesting
to see which bits of teaching which spoke more to certain individuals. I will try
to translate it into english from the french here (it is not often that I have to
do the opposite and translate from french to english for those not fluent in french :o)

L'oeil que vous voyez est celui de Debbie, une chanteuse chrétienne.
Voici une image plus grande ;o) Stu et Martha,
nos amis qui nous rendent visite la semaine prochaine, travaillent avec Debbie à
North Records depuis quelques années déjà. En plus Stu est le producteur exécutif
du "label" et président de North Records. Stu m'a parlé depuis plusieurs mois de
Debbie, qui se trouve à
No.1 du Hit Parade "indie" aux USA depuis 13 semaines maintenant.
Si vous voulez lire
les paroles du chant, elles se trouvent ici. Si vous voulez regarder
les vidéos de Debbie sur YouTube vous pouvez
les visionner ici, et pour l'interview,
que je trouve plein d'inspiration, vous pouvez regarder
ici. (je vais essayer de
traduire le chant en français). Debbie a aussi fait
un chant en espagnol ici et
apprendre davantage sur le travail de
North Records ici. Vous pouvez également
jeter un coup d'oeil sur
les buts de North Records ici (aider les artistes internationaux,
apporter une solution à la pauvreté, alléger les besoins et les sous-privilégiés).
L'interview en particulier montre le désir que Debbie exprime de voir Dieu agir au
Thailande et pas simplement de créer des hits! Son témoignage de son papa qui était
dans le bouddhisme, avant de rencontrer Jésus, est très encourageant.
Vidéos montrées à la Retraite de Jeunes
Je vais résumer les vidéos que j'ai montré à la Retraite de Jeunes. Tout d'abord,
vous pouvez regarder
la video "Stars" avec sous-tîtres préparée par Nate, un pasteur
de jeunes à Iowa. Il l'a préparé pour la retraite de jeunes. La version originelle de
la video en anglais se trouve ici. David Condos m'a demandé de faire visionner sa vidéo
intitulée
"the making of when the land becomes the sea". Il s'agit d'une vidéo pour terminer
le chant "quand la terre devient mer". Enfin, j'ai aussi montré la vidéo de musique de
Chris Tomlin qui a chanté "Amazing Grace" basé sur le film du même nom. Le film est basé
sur l'histoire vraie de William Wilberforce, ministre au parlement qui a combattu l'esclavage
et fut le premier à faire voter la loi pour abolition de l'esclavage.

la vidéo sur la partie "bonus" du DVD ici
et enfin Chris
Tomlin est interviewé à propos du chant au Song Café ici.
Messages de la Retraite des Jeunes
Une des jeunes à la Retraite de Jeunes, a fait
un résumé des messages que j'ai donnés.
Le but est de les publier dans un magazine chrétien. J'ai trouvé son résumé meilleur que
le mien! Il faut que je les lui enprunte ;o) C'était intéressant de voir comment les
messages ont touché les individus. Je vais tenter de traduire le résumé des notres en
anglais à partir (il est rare que je traduit du français vers l'anglais pour ceux qui
ne comprennent pas le français (surtout les anglais :o)
