Alison posted some photos following the week-end she spent at her friend Linda's village. As promised here is a picture of some friends of Linda, then you will see some dumplings that my dad used to make and finally a little lad at the village fete ;OD I will leave the family news from a couple of days ago.
Looks like marriages in the family are coming thick and fast ;oD Shortly after our niece Sarah-Emmanuelle in Geneva got married to Christophe, we received news of our niece in England, also Sarah, getting married to Rob next year! Melody will be at the "St. Francis of Assisi Medical Pedagogic Institute" of Bouge until Christmas and then continue her placement at the "William Lennox Institute" at Ottignies (not far from the Louvain-La-Neuve University). William Lennox was "a neurologist who was a pioneer in the use of electroencephalography (EEG) for the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy. Lennox first became interested in epilepsy when working as medical missionary in China... " (New York Times 1960). He served for four years at the Peiping Union Medical College with the Methodist Church from 1916 to 1920, and was loaned during this period to the Rockefeller Medical School in Peking, China. As mentioned previously, Alexi will be going to a Youth retreat next week-end in Marcourt. Hopefully we will try to get a couple of photos from Alison during her stay in the country-side into our next news summary !
Prayer items and links : 1.Thanks for University and secondary school exams this summer which went well. 2.Thanks for Alison's safe travel to China, the provision of a student room and gifts to cover costs. Do continue to pray for the grant for part of the year. 3.Myriam and Gui's wedding on the 4th of October (former student) to which we are invited. 4.Speaking at the Binche church on the 5th of October.

Alison a téléchargé quelques photos suite au week-end qu'elle a passé dans le village de sa copine Linda. Comme promis voici quelques photos des amis de Linda, ensuite quelques "raviolis" chinois qui ressemblent à ce que mon père faisait et enfin un petit gamin à la fête du village ;OD Je vais laisser les nouvelles de la famille que j'ai mis il y a deux jours.
Les mariages se succèdent dans la famille ;oD Peu après le mariage de notre nièce Sarah-Emmanuelle et Christophe à Genève, nous apprenons que notre nièce en Angleterre, également appelée Sarah, se marie avec Rob l'année prochaine ! Melody sera à Institut Médico-Pédagogique de Bouge jusqu'à la Noël et ensuite elle continuera ses stages au "Centre Neurologique William Lennox" à Ottignies (pas loin de l'Université de Louvain-La-Neuve). William Lennox était "William Lennox(1884–1960) était un neurologiste américain pionnier de l'électroencéphalographie (EEG) pour le diagnostique et le traitement de l'épilepsie. Lennox s'est intéressé à l'épilepsie lors de son travail comme médécin missionnaire en Chine... " (New York Times 1960). Il a servi pendant quatre ans à "Peiping Union Medical College" avec l'Eglise Méthodiste entre 1916 et 1920, et fut prêté pendant au "Rockefeller Medical School" à Pékin, Chine. Comme cela a déjà été mentionné, Alexi participera le week-end prochain à une Retraite de Jeunes à Marcourt. Nous essayerons de vous montrer une ou deux photos envoyées par Alison lors de son séjour à la campagne !
Sujets de prière et liens: 1.Merci pour les résultes des examens cet été à l'unif et à l'école secondaire. 2.Merci pour l'arrivée d'Alison en Chine à Shandong, pour sa chambre d'étudiant et pour les dons reçus. Continuez à prier pour sa bourse qui couvre une partie des frais. 3.Myriam et Gui (ancienne étudiante) - nous sommes invités au mariage le 4 octobre. 4.John: prédication à l'église de Binche le 5 octobre.
