Latest: I have been listening to "the Blood" (solo album in 2008) by Kevin Max (of DCtalk) and found myself listening to it several times. The songs are a mixture of blues, gospel, soul, rock and roll, with many old remixed hymns. There is a review done by Crossrhythms here but also in the BBC article here which I found interesting. This quote was very central to the meaning of "the Blood" in the title, "One of the reasons the songs on 'The Blood' are so important is because they represent the answer, the medicine for the ailments. I love the significance of Christ's blood as something that empowers us— it can literally change us. I know I am changed, and God has given me another chance to live a life that is full and without fear." (bbc 16/05/2009). Just had feedback from David and Lydie, speaking at the Youth Retreat today and tomorrow. Things are going well. Johanan has moved into his student room at the Louvain-la-Neuve University until the summer as it helps with his theatre rehearsals. He had some good contacts with his flat-mates and told us they have already been having discussions about God and his faith.
Prayer items and links : 1.University studies for Jo, Melo and Alison and the last year of secondary school for Alexi. 2.Alison's language study in China and for her general needs. For her visit to Hong Kong. 3.For Johanan's theatre production in February 2009. There is a facebook site and a poster. 4.For Stuand Jon's ministries. 5.For Bethany's project. 6.For the Dalits in India (political freedom, social care, spiritual awakening). 7.For Melody's placement at the Willam Lennox neuological centre and for her dissertation. 8.Wayne's European tour(finished on the 3rd of Jan. 2009 in Bilbao). 9.Pray for GFA missionaries Nebu Sein and Yashpal Bhuta Masih in prison. Yashpal Bhuta Masih has since been released from prison but are due to stand trial. Pray for Randhir Malhotra and Kritanu Sarin who where attacked and robbed before the showing of a film on Jesus. 10.Our niece Lizzie's "swimmaton" for the Marie Curie Cancer Care. 11.For David and Lydie as they speak at the Youth retreat.

Les chants représentent un mélange de blues, gospel, rock & roll et soul, dont la plupart sont des anciens hymnes. VOus pouvez lire un article en anglais par Crossrhythms ici et aussi un article de la BBC ici que j'ai trouvé intéressant. Une citation reprise dans l'article de la BBC parlait du tître "Le sang", "Le sang du Christ représente la solution pour nous, en fait une sorte de médicament pour nos maladies. Voici pourquoi les chants dans l'album 'The Blood' sont si importants, parce que le sang du Christ signifie quelque chose qui nous donne la puissance et qui nous change litéralement. Dieu me donne une chance pour vivre une vie de plénitude sans peur". (bbc 16/05/2009). Je viens de recevoir un mot de David et Lydie, orateurs à la retraite de jeunes aujourd'hui et demain. Selon eux, tout va bien. Johanan a déménagé dans son kot universitaire à Louvain-la-Neuve qu'il occupe jusqu'en juin 2009 ce qui facilite les répétitions pour sa pièce de théâtre. Selon lui, il a des bon contacts avec ses colocataires et a déjà eu des conversations à propos de sa foi en Dieu.

Il y a un site sur facebook et un poster. 4.POur le ministère de Stu et Jon. 5.POur le projet de Bethany. 6.Pour les enfants des Dalits (les intouchables en Inde). 7.Pour le mémoire de Melody et pour ses stages au Centre neurologique Willam Lennox. 8.La tournée de Wayne qui s'est terminée le 3 janvier 2009 à Bilbao. 9.Prière pour les missionnaires GFA Nebu Sein et Yashpal Bhuta Masih qui se trouvent en prison. Yashpal Bhuta Masih a été libéré de prison mais doivent encore se défendre au tribunal. Priez pour Randhir Malhotra et Kritanu Sarin qui ont été agressés avant la projection d'un film sur Jésus. 10.Le "swimmaton" (nage sponsorisée) de notre nièce Lizzie pour l'oeuvre contre le cancer Marie Curie. 11.Pour David et Lydie qui seront orateurs à la retraite de jeunes.
