Here is an image of some hand-made ethiopian jewellery which Michael, our missionary friend in Ethiopia, sent to me. As I mentioned previously Michael works with Helps International Ministries. Michael has been living and working amongst the poor in Ethiopia and has encourage them to produce hand-crafted jewellery which could then be sold in the West as a means of providing some income. You can always contact me if your church is interested or if any individuals would like to encourage the local work by purchasing an article of jewellery. Michael told me, on his last visit to Belgium, that the people cannot cater for a normal commercial market as hand-made jewellery is a slow process. Don't forget to check up on the Madagascar Mission Trip which are friends are on. There are some interesting stories and great pictures.

Voici une image des bijoux "fait main" par les éthiopiens. NOus vous avons déjà parlé de Michel, notre ami missionnaire en Ethiopie. Michel travaille avec Helps International Ministries. Michel vit parmi les pauvres en Ethiopie et les encourage à produire des bijoux à vendre en Occident afin de créer un revenu. Vous pouvez me contacter si le produit vous intéresse, ou si vous désirez soutenir leur travail en achetant l'un ou l'autre article. Lors de sa dernière visite en Belgique, Michel m'a dit qu'ils ne savent pas produire les bijoux en grandes quantités vu que c'est un travail artisanal. N'oubliez pas de jeter un oeil sur les récits et les images de Madagascar Mission Trip (voyage missionnaire de nos amis à Madagascar).

For some obscure reason I decided to put a pic of a panda on some socks we got. It looked interesting. We had a cool BBQ yesterday with Jono and Daniel. Jono did apple-cake and Daniel did indian shish kebabs ! Jo cooked the BBQ meat under torrential rainfall armed with a brolly. It was probably the heaviest rainfall we have had so far! Alexi just back from Watford yesterday just in time for the BBQ as he was at my sister's in Watford for a week with his friend Christophe. They were well fed by his grandmother. J'ai mis cette image sans raison particulière ;o) Nous avons invité Jono et Daniel pour un BBQ. Jono a fait un gâteau aux pommes, tandis que Daniel a fait des "shish kebabs" (d'origine indienne) ! Jo a cuit la viande sous la pluie armé d'un parapluie. Alexi est revenu de Watford hier, juste à temps pour le BBQ. Il a passé une semaine chez ma soeur à Watford, accompagné de son copain Christophe. Sa grand-mère les a gaté ! Vous pouvez écouter Leeland si vous cliquez sur le nom du groupe. Les chants incluent "Enter this temple"(Entre dans le temple), "May our Praise" (Que notre louange) et "yes you are" (Oui Tu es) par Leeland, de même que "Jesus Messiah" (Jésus Messïe) par Chris Tomlin.
