"Mum's family" with a pic of (1)Grandpa's third uncle Choon Teck and his wife Lim Ho Peng. Lim Ho Peng (seen on the left) is, according to mum, a very good singer who often sang in church. He lectured in Chemistry at the heieh Ho University in Amoy. Their sons in the photo are: Choon Hoon, Choon Ming, Choon Chieh. They were based in Indonesia. (2)Mum's grandma's "spiritual daughter" or "god-daughter" married Lim Gay Seng. Their children are the main family we have regular contacts with in Singapore. The sons are: Lim Teck-Hui(uncle Teck-Hui), Lim Teck Cheong (uncle Paul), Lim Teck Kiam and Lim Teck Hong. Their daughter Grace (Lim Leok Lian) married Ernest Koh and their children are Christina and Leonard (married to Rita). (3)The two girls on the left are mum and Grace below her Mr.& Mrs. Lim Gay Seng with baby Teck-Hui (uncle Teck-Hui). To their right are Mum's grandma carried mum's brother (uncle Tim) and above her is the evangelist Tan Check Seng who worked with Watchman Nee. (4)Mr. & Mrs. Lim Gay Seng with baby Grace and baby Teck-Hui. (5)Uncle Ernest was a minister until his death a few years ago. Aunty Grace, was daughter of mum's grandma's spiritual daughter! The meeting at the italian church went very well. and at the Berrymead church in two weeks time. The children will be over just for christmas before coming back to Belgium as Melody has to work at the hospital on the 27th. Mark, Trish and Nay visited us for a few days ! Johanan has been invited to contribute articles to the CBN christian TV site whilst still teaching english to master's degree students. Melody is getting to grips with her speech-therapy job in the neurological unit of the hospital and has been helping many families with paper-work ... Alison has begun uni lectures with Johanan and Alexi. Her bachelor of Arts degree from Geneva has officially been confirmed.

we need to silence all noise and the voices that we hear around us.
We think we hear God in the storm but he speaks mainly with a soft voice to our hearts

Lim Ho Peng (à gauche) était, selon ma mère, une très bonne chanteuse qui chantait souvent à l'église. Choon Teck était prof. à l'Université de Heieh Ho à Amoy. Leurs fils (voir photo) s'appellaient : Choon Hoon, Choon Ming, Choon Chieh. Ils étaient basés en Indonésie. (2)La "fille spirituelle" de la grand-mère de ma mère épousa Lim Gay Seng. .Ils eurent quatre fils: Lim Teck-Hui (uncle Teck-Hui), Lim Teck Cheong (uncle Paul), Lim Teck Kiam, Lim Teck Hong (Uncle David). Leur fille Grace (Lim Leok Lian) épousa Ernest Koh et leurs enfants sont Christina et Leonard (qui épousa Rita). (3)Les deux filles à gauche : ma mère et Tante Grace puis ci-dessous se trouvent Mr.& Mrs. Lim Gay Seng avec Teck-Hui bébé (uncle Teck-Hui). A droite, la grand-mère de ma mère porte le frère de ma mère (mon oncle Tim) tandis que derrière il y a l'évangéliste Tan Check Seng (debout) qui oeuvra avec Watchman Nee. (4)M.Mme Lim Gay Seng avec bébé Grace et bébé Teck-Hui. (5)Oncle Ernest était pasteur (et Canon de Singapour) jusqu'à sa mort il y a quelques années. (6)Ma mère et Tante Grace. Le culte à l'église italienne a très bien été. Culte à l'église de Londres dans 2 semaines. Les enfants seront avec nous pour la Noël mais reviennent plus tôt parce que Melody travaille le 27 à l'hôpital. On vient de recevoir la visite de Mark, Trish et Nay pendant qqs jours! Johanan a été invité à écrire des articles pour la télé chrétienne CBN tout en donnant cours d'anglais aux étudiants en master. Le travail de Melody à l'hôpital (dans la section neurologie) continue mais elle a du aider quelques familles avec des papiers ... Alison a commencé ses cours à l'unif avec Johanan et Alexi. Elle a officiellement reçu confirmation de son baccalauréat de Lettres.

"La vie avec Jésus est une conversation de tous les jours.
Pour entendre la voix de Jésus il faut faire taire tous les bruits et toutes
les voix autour de nous. Nous pensons entendre Dieu dans l'orage mais
il parle surtout avec une voix douce dans notre coeur et touche notre esprit
quand nous sommes calmes devant lui. (Mes notes 2002)."
