Good concert. Good time with Sid and Alan. We watched a great bbc dvd on China including areas which Alison visited. Alison is back safely in Geneva despite her flight being! Went to LOOK AT sT. James Park yesterday as Alison was doing work on Charles II. The meeting we took at Berrymead church went well ;o)Managed to escape the problems at the ports and on the roads as everything shut-down a few hours after we got here. Melody's SUBMITTED her master's dissertation at the Louvain Uni and the ULB uni (9 copies!) her dissertation and hopes to prepare "defend" her work before the jury in January. Johanan and Alexi will prepare for exams.
The dvd is called "wild china".

Bon concert. Bonne soirée avec Sid and Alan. Alison est bien rentrée à Genève. Concert avec ma soeur et repas demain soir avec nos amis Sid et Alan. Nous sommes allés à St. James Park hier, vu que Alison a fait un travail sur Charles II. Le message apporté à l'église Berrymead de Londres a bien été ;o)Nous avons échappé aux problèmes aux ports et l'eurotunnel vu que tout a été fermé qqs heures après notre arrivée! Melody a soumis son mémoire pour un master à l'unif. de Louvain_la_Neuve et à L'uLB Bruxelles (9 copies en tout!). Pensez à elle lors de sa préparation pour défendre son mémoire devant le jury en janvier. Johanan and Alexi doivent preparer les exams.
Nous avons regardé un bon dvd dela BBC sur la Chine intitulé "wild china". Alison a visité certains endroits parcouru dans le dvd.

Good meal and sharing with Rob and Judith, went to a concert and will see Sid and Alan tomorrow. Alison is back safely in Geneva despite her flight being! Went to LOOK AT sT. Alison is back in Geneva! We had a meal with Rob and Judith, went to a concert and will see Sid and Alan. Went to LOOK AT sT. James Park yesterday as Alison was doing work on Charles II. The meeting we took at Berrymead church went well ;o)Managed to escape the problems at the ports and on the roads as everything shut-down a few hours after we got here. Melody's SUBMITTED her master's dissertation at the Louvain Uni and the ULB uni (9 copies!) her dissertation and hopes to prepare "defend" her work before the jury in January. Johanan and Alexi will prepare for exams.
The mousemat is a present from our niece Anna ;o)

NOUVELLES DE LA FAMILLE
Alison est de retour Genève. Nous avons mangé ensemble avec Rob et Judith, ensuite nous sommes allés au concert avec ma soeur et passé la soirée avec nos amis Sid et Alan. Nous sommes allés à St. James Park hier, vu que Alison a fait un travail sur Charles II. Le message apporté à l'église Berrymead de Londres a bien été ;o)Nous avons échappé aux problèmes aux ports et l'eurotunnel vu que tout a été fermé qqs heures après notre arrivée! Melody a soumis son mémoire pour un master à l'unif. de Louvain_la_Neuve et à L'uLB Bruxelles (9 copies en tout!). Pensez à elle lors de sa préparation pour défendre son mémoire devant le jury en janvier. Johanan and Alexi doivent preparer les exams.
Le tapis de souris est un cadeau de notre nièce Anna ;o)

Went to LOOK AT sT. James Park yesterday as Alison was doing work on Charles II. Jo, Melo and ALexi have Left town ;oD Alison flies off tomorrow. Meeting we took at Berrymead church went well ;o) Managed to escape the problems at the ports and on the roads as everything shut-down a few hours after we got here. Melody's SUBMITTED her master's dissertation at the Louvain Uni and the ULB uni (9 copies!) her dissertation and hopes to prepare "defend" her work before the jury in January. Johanan and Alexi will prepare for exams, come to watford bu Eurostar for a few days at Christmas with Alexi and come back to Belgium. Johanan's music is still here. Alison will join us in Belgium late this eve. and will travel to England. We will be at the Berrymead church in London where we will be sharing at the meeting - thanks for praying that God will bless our time together!

Nous sommes allés à St. James Park hier, vu que Alison a fait un travail sur Charles II. Melody, Jo et Alexi sont en Belgique! Alison part demain. Jo et Alexi sont arrivés par Eurostar! Le message apporté à l'église Berrymead de Londres a bien été ;o)Nous avons échappé aux problèmes aux ports et l'eurotunnel vu que tout a été fermé qqs heures après notre arrivée! Melody a soumis son mémoire pour un master à l'unif. de Louvain_la_Neuve et à L'uLB Bruxelles (9 copies en tout!). Pensez à elle lors de sa préparation pour défendre son mémoire devant le jury en janvier. Johanan and Alexi doivent preparer les exams, voyager à watford par Eurostar pour quelques jours à la Noël et ensuite revenir en Belgique. la musique de Johanan est toujours ici. Alison vient en Belgique tard ce soir pour voyager ensemble en Angleterre. Nous serons à l'église de Berrymead à Londres bientôt où je dois apporter un message - merci de prier pour que Dieu bénisse le temps passé ensemble!

FAMILY NEWS
Jo and Alexi finally made it by Eurostar! Meeting we took at Berrymead church went well ;o) Managed to escape the problems at the ports and on the roads as everything shut-down a few hours after we got here. Melody's SUBMITTED her master's dissertation at the Louvain Uni and the ULB uni (9 copies!) her dissertation and hopes to prepare "defend" her work before the jury in January. Johanan and Alexi will prepare for exams, come to watford bu Eurostar for a few days at Christmas with Alexi and come back to Belgium. Johanan's music is still here. Alison will join us in Belgium late this eve. and will travel to England. We will be at the Berrymead church in London where we will be sharing at the meeting - thanks for praying that God will bless our time together!

Claire was listening to Bryn Haworth this afternoon and I thought I would introduce him to any who don't know of him. The songs she was listening to were kindly sent to me a few years ago by Bryn and Sally as they were "out of print" and not available in the shops as his record label did not want to reissue the album. I first met Bryn Haworth and his wife Sally at a prayer meet for Mission London many years ago when I was working with Eddy, pastor and good friend of Bryn's. I knew his music from my student days and they were some of the well-worn out tracks in the car stereo during our honeymoon! I have since kept in touch every few years. If you click on the pic below of one of my favourite albums of Bryn you can listen to some of his music here
.Bryn has a large recording session anthology with different artists from different genres (from Gerry Rafferty, Gallagher and Lyle, John Cale, Andy Fairweather, Joan Armatrading, Chris de Burgh, Marianne Faithful, Cliff Richard ... to Matt Redman, Noel richards, Don Francisco...) and which you can see by following the link above. You can also read about his life, his faith and his music in his biography where "lancashire born, acclaimed slide guitarist, Bryn Haworth, is also a singer-songwriter and a top performer who has been delighting audiences with his own unique brand of rock, country and gospel blues for over 30 years..." (continued). and you can then follow that by an extensive Interview with "Cross Rhythms Radio" and other reviews...There is more bio stuff on wikipedia which has a good compilation of his recordings and a video on youtube when Bryn was invited onto the Carrie Grant show on the BBC (the bio is to the right of the youtube page). You can buy some of Bryn's stuff on Amazon Com or on Amazon Co.uk or on Bryn's own site here. Finally, you can download Bryn's song "The Lord is good" which is the top download on the site.

Claire écoutait Bryn Haworth cet après-midi et j'ai eu l'idée de vous le présenter pour ceux qui ne le conaissent pas. Bryn et Sally m'ont envoyé les chants que Claire écoutait il y a plusieurs années parce que l'album était épuisé et la maison de disques A&M ne voulait pas sortir l'album vu qu'elle détenait les droits d'auteur. J'ai rencontré Bryn Haworth et son épouse Sally à une réunion de prière pour le comité de "Mission London". A l'époque je travaillais avec un pasteur, Eddy, qui était un bon ami de Bryn et de Cliff Richard. Je connaissais la musique de Bryn parce que j'écoutais quand j'étais étudiant et la musique jouait souvent dans le lecteur dans la voiture lors de notre lune de miel! Depuis ma rencontre, j'ai gardé le contact avec Bryn et sa femme. L'image ci-dessous est d'un de mes albums préférés de Bryn ici.Bryn a une anthologie de "sessions d'enregistrements" impressionante avec des genres de musique différents de Gerry Rafferty, Gallagher & Lyle, John Cale, Andy Fairweather, Joan Armatrading, Chris de Burgh, Marianne Faithful, Cliff Richard ... à Matt Redman, Noel richards, Don Francisco...) que vous pouvez parcourir en suivant le lien ci-dessus. Vous pouvez aussi lire davantage sur sa vie, sa foi et sa musique dans sa biographie qui le décrit "ne dans le Lancashire, guitariste 'slide' renommé, Bryn Haworth, est aussi chanteur-compositeur et un artiste qui a apporté beaucoup aux foules lors de ses concerts, qui cela soit du rock, du country, du blues depuis plus de 30 ans..."
