A friend of mine from the catering college told me he lives at the chateau bivort which is quite well known in the region. The ground floor houses the administrative offices of the town and banquet hall is used for weddings, exhibition etc. Pierre lives with his family in the first floor appartments. He has also shared about his passion for astronomy as he belongs to the club at the Mons Polytechnic. If you click on the image of the chateau you can read out it's history or

The Mannah retreat this week-end went well. Thanks for prayer. It was cool meeting with different christian young people from all over Belgium. As I mentioned before the retreat is mainly for flemish young people (20s and young couples) ;oD Pray for Melody's dissertation, for Alison's student job and contact with the churches in Carouges, the chinese church in Geneva, and the christian union, for Alexi's studies and sports activities, and for Johanan's grant application for his placement ... Thanks.

for the fire will burn and leave all it's scars

but love from the Spirit will heal in it's path

living is dying a death everyday

for life has no answers where we don't pay

and Jesus has paid - he sacrificed

his body an offering -his life the price

so call him today

please realise it

don't stay away

then you can live the life that he gives

Un ami à moi m'a dit qu'il habite le chateau bivort, assez connu dans la région. Le rez-du-chaussée est utilisé comme l'hôtel de ville et les salles du château sont souvent louées pour des mariages ou des expositions... The worship together player still has music from "unhindered", if you click on the image of the czech biscuits above, which we got from Gareth who came to see us in Belgium following the baptist international convention. We were able to have lunch together and chat before I drove him to the airport. Gareth is pastoring the international baptist church in Prague and also leading the work amongst the university students. The czech biscuits are apparently the most popular wafer biscuits found everywhere in the Czech republic! You can also click here.

My friend Nate from the USA gave me links to U2 at the Rosebowl on October 25th, which he stayed up to watch "live" on You tube. If you click on the picture you can watch the whole concert or

La musique de "unhindered" se trouve toujours sur le worship together player, et si vous cliquez sur les biscuits tchèque ci-dessus, que nous avons reçu de Gareth qui est venu nous rendre visite en Belgique suite à la convention internationale des églises baptistes. Nous avons pu manger ensemble et partager avant que je ne l'ai conduit à l'aéroport. Gareth est actuellement pasteur de l'église internationale baptiste à Prague et dirige le travail parmi les étudiants de l'université. They began a ministry for adoption of children and established Shaohannah’s Hope in 2003 which is their first adopted daughter's name. As they explain: "Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife, Mary Beth initially founded Show Hope out of their desire to see more children find their way into forever families." If you want to see more of Warren's stuff you can go to his site here. Do pray for the Mannah retreat this week-end that everyone will meet with God through all the activities and the fellowship. The retreat centre is well equipped as you can see below.
It is mainly for flemish young people (20s and young couples) ;oD Pray for Melody's dissertation, for Alison's student job and contact with the churches in Carouges, the chinese church in Geneva, and the christian union, for Alexi's studies and sports activities, and for Johanan's grant application for his placement ... C'est surtout pour les jeunes couples et plus de 20 ans (neerlandephones avec qqs invités francophones ;oD), priez pour le mémoire de Melody, pour le job d'étudiant d'ALison et pour ses contacts avec l'église de Carouges, l'église chinoise à Genève et le groupe biblique universitaire, pour les études d'Alexi et pour ses activités sportives et pour la demande faite par Johanan pour une bourse erasmus pour son stage ... Merci.

Alison is now settled in her room, in contact with the churches in Carouges and the chinese church in Geneva and the christian union. She has not heard from Mcdonald's in Geneva so the student job does not seem a likely possibility. Alexi has a load of stuff on anatomy ! I find it interesting to look through the diagrams of the human anatomy but not to learn all that stuff by heart ;oD

Nous serons à la retraite Mannah ce week-end avec les jeunes néerlandephones (20 ans + et jeunes couples) ;oD Priez pour Melody qui termine son mémoire et pour . le job d'étudiant d'Alison. Priez aussi pour les deux dernières années de son master pour qu'une solution se présente en ce qui concerne sa bourse en Suisse. Alison est installée dans sa chambre. Elle fait partie de l'église de Carouges et rendre toujours visite à l'église chinoise à Genève de même que le groupe biblique universitaire. Elle n'a toujours pas reçu des nouvelles de Macdo à Genève et la possibilité de trouver un job d'étudiant là bas ne semble pas possible. Alexi a beaucoup de pages à étudier sur l'anatomie et bien qu'intéressant, je préfère regarder les schémas plutôt qu'apprendre tout cela par coeur! ;oD

Here is a large pic of the group in the pic below - David Condos's new group "MilkTooth". Here is a review from NPR - "A 'milk tooth' is another name for a baby tooth, or the first tooth a child grows before his or her permanent teeth come in. It's also the name of a band from Nashville that's put out one of the more mesmerizing CDs I've heard in recent months. Milktooth's self-titled debut dabbles in a bit of everything, from noise-rock to glittering indie-pop and gentle folk, all in the span of about 25 minutes. If a single tone or theme ties the songs together, it's a surreal kind of creaky Americana, with spare acoustic instruments and sometimes haunting atmospherics, led by the howling voice of frontman David Condos. The members of Milktooth say they're working on a new batch of songs for release sometime this fall. In the meantime, here's a standout cut from the band's eponymous EP, called 'Such Wondrous Light'." If you right click on the pic and save target as

Voici une plus grande image du groupe que vous voyez ci-dessous - le nouveau groupe de David Condos "MilkTooth" est résumé par le site NPR. (NPR) - "Une dent de lait - est la première dent du bébé avant que ses dents permanentes poussent. Milktooth est aussi un groupe de Nashville qui vient de sortir un des CDs les plus abasourdis que je n'ai entendu depuis longtemps.
